PROGRESS REPORT:
3/19 - Beige over-ear portions and mic protectors are here! We'll test them out on actual actors this weekend!
3/13 - They are labeled and integrated into our system! Waiting on over-ear portions, which have been delayed.
3/6 - Base system and rechargeable batteries have arrived! Currently charging up the batteries! We don't have rehearsal tonight, so perhaps we can get in there and work on integrating them into the system!
3/3 - Base system has been ordered (!!!), and should be delivered March 4th or 5th. Pro-quality rechargeable batteries are also on their way. Still to tackle: backup/replacement over-ear mics, mic belts, protectors, etc.
It's a wonderful problem to have!
Our audience size is growing in number (yay!), which means that, despite having four microphones hanging over the stage, our actors can sometimes be hard to hear. It's time to invest in microphones to put on the actors themselves!
We have found a very reasonably priced package system that will work with our current sound board and speakers, and plan to purchase and implement ahead of our next production, Around the World in 80 Days (which will use the whole theatre, as The 39 Steps did).
